TM Forum project envisions cutting telco quote-to-order time from days to minutes
AUSTIN, TX, May 28, 2025 – Totogi today announced its participation in the TM Forum Catalyst “Accelerating Dynamic Network Marketplaces,” championed by BT and showcased at DTW25 Ignite, June 17–19 in Copenhagen. The collaborative project explores how AI could transform enterprise connectivity sales, potentially reducing quote-to-order cycles from weeks to minutes while unlocking up to 25% new revenue.
Working with BT, CloudBlue, and Infosys, the Catalyst demonstrates how Totogi’s AI agent could transform the enterprise buying experience for complex network services like multi-site VPN and cloud connectivity. The proof-of-concept addresses a critical industry challenge: while cloud providers offer instant deployment, telcos still require lengthy manual sales processes that drive up to 60% of enterprise customers to abandon orders.
The envisioned solution centers on Totogi’s BSS Magic AI agent, built on a telco-specific ontology and leveraging TM Forum, CAMARA, MEF, and IETF standards, which can:
- Interpret customer requirements in plain language
- Automatically configure technical specifications and pricing
- Validate compatibility with existing infrastructure in real-time
- Generate quotes and orchestrate provisioning in minutes, not days
- Eliminate manual handoffs between sales and technical teams
“This Catalyst explores what becomes possible when we apply AI to telco’s most broken process—enterprise sales,” said Danielle Rios, acting CEO of Totogi. “Today, customers navigate a maze of legacy systems just to get a quote. Our vision shows how AI could let users simply describe what they need, while the system handles all technical complexity automatically.”
The project targets significant potential improvements:
- 80% reduction in provisioning times
- 15% reduction in manual resource allocation
- 25% new revenue through simplified buying experiences
Unlike traditional CPQ systems that require pre-configured catalogs, the envisioned AI solution would reason across diverse product catalogs and APIs in real-time, orchestrating qualification and provisioning via industry standards while automatically handling technical validation that typically requires specialized expertise.
BT champions the project by providing real-world customer scenarios, while CloudBlue contributes marketplace expertise, Infosys brings systems integration perspective, and Totogi leads the AI experience layer concept. The collaboration has been submitted for three Catalyst Award categories at DTW Ignite: Outstanding Catalyst – Innovation and Futuristic, Outstanding Catalyst – Application of AI and Automation, and Outstanding Catalyst – Rising Star.
The Catalyst will be demonstrated at DTW Ignite, in the Autonomous Networks Innovation Zone at Kiosk #14. Attendees can vote for the project onsite as part of the Outstanding Catalyst – Attendees Choice Award.
